We were excited to sit down at the recent Communities Summit Conference 2023 to discuss challenges we commonly hear in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain (F&SC) community. Among the challenges clients are having is managing security roles within Dynamics 365 F&SC.

In this video, we discuss the one of the biggest obstacles of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain: Out-of-the-box roles were not designed with compliance and restricted access in mind; they were designed to allow the user to execute transactions without limitations and hold ups. In today’s world, the stringent requirements around financial compliance, data restriction and privacy drive most organizations to find a more robust solution.

To address this common challenge, Protiviti has launched a new Microsoft-certified offering, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Security Role Templates. We discuss how the new offering can help organizations refine their roles and manage their risks. The solution is a set of task-based roles leveraging both out-of-box and custom duties and privileges, all of which can be used as the foundation for ERP security and access needs.
